Upaya has the ability to provide a uniquely rigorous and challenging training experience in the St. Louis community. We are interested in graduate students looking to complete their master’s or doctoral practicum, internship, or field experience with an emphasis in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Upon inquiry, you would determine if our supervising staff’s qualifications meet the requirements of your particular graduate program’s requirements.

At Upaya, your training experience would involve delivering DBT as well as other forms of evidence-based practice customized to your individual goals. Weekly individual supervision as well as weekly group supervision on site via the DBT consultation team meeting will be provided. You would learn about the administrative side of private practice and may have the opportunity to continue after graduation as a paid contract therapist at Upaya. Evenings and weekends required in the form of phone coaching and periodic team training/retreat events.
