Mary Fulbright, CIT (she/her) is passionate about helping others improve their lives and realize their best selves. Mary takes a non-judgmental, person-centered approach to working with clients. She focuses on listening and getting to know her clients so she can tailor her approach to best meet their needs. She strives to help her clients find meaning in their life, make positive changes, and move forward in peace and contentment. Mary is under the supervision of Upaya's Director, Amanda Bittner, PHD, and serves clients (18+) located in Missouri (in-person or telehealth) and Illinois (telehealth-only) via individual, couples, and family therapy with adults. Mary is on the DBT Team at Upaya and is pursuing core certification by the state of Missouri's Department of Mental Health.
Mary is currently completing her Masters degree in Counseling at Truman State University. After working in customer service management for over a decade, Mary decided to transition her career to helping people on a more personal level. During her transition, Mary worked for the Missouri Department of Mental Health for over 3 years where she monitored the quality control of various ACT, DBT, and IPS clinical programs in St. Louis. Mary brings both lived experience and academic knowledge to her counseling approach.
